Car Insurance Yugo (Car Insurance). Looking for a Duel Sport Motorcycle?

Looking for a Duel Sport Motorcycle? I recently began talking to someone who is selling his duel sport motorcycle. He has a Harley now and is selling his duel sport for a low price. He told me that it is a 1989 Yamaha XT 650. I have not actually spoken face to face with the man and have not seen the bike. I have looked all over google and I can not find a picture of the exact model he is selling. Does he perhaps have the specifications messed up or am I just not looking hard enough?

Yup, wrong specs. It's an XT600:

Yugo . Getting rid of swirl marks on a dark car?

Getting rid of swirl marks on a dark car? I've handwashed only since I've had my burgundy Benz for about 7 years. This winter, once, I used the brush (lightly) at a car wash. Sure enough, I've got swirl marks from that crappy brush. Anyway, twice a year I use a cleaner wax, a polish glaze and then a sealer wax. Im due to do it and will probably do so this weekend. Im tempted to use a rubbing compound first to smooth out the swirls. On the other hand, I'm also thinking that maybe my typical 3 step process of the cleaner wax, polish and sealer will take care of it and smooth out the swirl marks for good. I'm sure it will fill them in temporarily, but was wondering if a rubbing compound or something else would smooth things out better and get rid of the swirls. Also, if it helps I am only doing it by hand and not using an orbital buffer. car insurance.

Yugo . Motorcycle Bashing, why just on HD's....?

Motorcycle Bashing, why just on HD's....? OK all you Trolls, here's your chance to really sound off......! Why is it, with all the makes and models of motorcycles here, only the Harley's and their owners get bashed on..? I don't see Honda people bashing Kawasaki's. I don't see Yamaha owners bashing Suzuki owners. In fact, I never see ANYTHING about anyone, EXCEPT them with a negative point of view - against Harley Davidson and us owners. I already have a fairly clear idea myself, but I'm curious if others here have seen this one sided bashing.? Now, don't get me wrong here. I am NOT crying over this. I think it's kinda funny my self and in a way, cute, seeing all these candy colored rocket racers getting their panties all up in a bunch over who can share the same freekin' air & road - the fastest..... looking like a flock of Power Rangers in their full colored leather costumes as they zoom, zoom down the road.. Any way, MPH, HP and MPG aside, anyone notice this bashing..?? Now, I ride HD.. I have for years. In fact, the day before I was born I was in the side car of my dad's 45 Flat Head.. Born 1950 and was on his motorcycle till 5.. On my OWN bike at 14, and been with one ever since. If my math is correct, I have been on a bike for 50 years now in one way or another. I feel I have a right to speak from experience... Bob - Tucson car insurance.

Yugo . How to Remove Water From a Car Oil Tank

A vehicle's oil reservoir can become contaminated by coolant when the head gasket fails, causing coolant to mix with oil. The oil returns to the oil reservoir mixed with coolant and will need to be removed before operating the vehicle. Operating the vehicle with contaminated oil causes failure of lubrication properties and serious damage to the engine.
Difficulty:Easy
Instructions Things You'll Need
Oil filter for the year model of your vehicle
5 quarts of oil appropriate for the year/model of your vehicle
Oil filter wrench
Crescent wrench
Oil drain pan

Step by Step :
1
Allow the engine to cool down completely.
2
Place the oil drain pan under the oil reservoir.
3
Remove the oil drain plug by using the crescent wrench and turning counterclockwise.
4
Allow all the oil coolant mixture to drain into the drain pan until there is just a slow drip.
5
Remove the oil filter by using the oil filter wrench and turning counterclockwise.
6
Install the new oil filter by turning it hand tight and 1/2 to 2/3 of a rotation more by hand.
7
Reinstall the drain plug by using the crescent wrench and turning clockwise until tight.
8
Open the hood and locate the oil fill plug. The oil fill plug has a yellow top with an oil can printed on the top. It is usually located on top of the right valve cover.
9
Pour all 5 quarts into the engine and close the fill cap.

Step by Step :
10
Start the engine and allow the engine to come up to operating temperature.

Step by Step :
11
Locate the oil dipstick and remove it from the tube. Use a shop towel to clean the oil from the dipstick. Put the dipstick back in the tube.

Step by Step :
12
Remove the dipstick again from the tube and check the level. The level should not exceed the full mark on the dipstick. Check for bubbles separating the oil on the dipstick. Bubbles indicate that there is still coolant mixed with the oil. The oil will need to be changed again using the same procedure if bubbles are found.
Tips & Warnings
It is very important to flush all the coolant from the oil system. The coolant will prevent the oil from adequately lubricating the engine and cause serious damage.

You will need to change the oil filter with a new one when all the coolant has been flushed out.

Never tighten the oil filter using the oil filter wrench. This will damage the oil filter seal.

Do not do this procedure until the engine is completely cooled down. Severe burns will result if the procedure is attempted while the engine is still hot.

Do not misuse the hand tools used in this procedure. Misuse of hand tools can damage equipment.

Yugo . How to Remove the Oil Filter From a 2003 Chevy Z71 Tahoe

Every 3,000 to 6,000 miles, the oil in your 2003 Chevrolet Z71 Tahoe needs to be changed to ensure that the motor is properly lubricated at all times. When you do the oil change, it's recommended to change out the oil filter as well to get the maximum amount of clean oil flowing through the system. Changing the oil filter on a Z71 Tahoe though is a bit difficult, because there isn't much room to put an oil filter wrench, but if you have the right parts, it will work.
Difficulty:Easy
Instructions Things You'll Need
Drain pan
3/8-inch ratchet, extension and socket set
Oil filter socket

Step by Step :
1
Crawl underneath the truck and locate the oil filter on the driver's side of the engine block, toward the back, between the oil pan at the base of the engine and the transmission. Place the drain pan underneath the oil filter.
2
Place the oil filter socket onto the extension then the ratchet, and loosen the oil filter from the engine. Only loosen it one-half to one turn, and allow the oil to seep out from the filter and drain into the pan. This isn't going to allow all of the oil to drain out, but it will help with the process.
3
Remove the oil filter completely from the engine, and slowly lower it from the engine. Tilt it into the drain pan and allow the filter to drain out. Wait for the oil to drain out of the rest of the engine, then pull the drain pan and filter out from under the car.
Tips & Warnings
If you can't find an oil filter socket at your local parts store, you can also use an oil filter wrench, but it's a bit more difficult to get around the oil pan. You can also use a strap wrench, which goes around the filter then gets cinched down to tighten against the filter. There is also a filter wrench that has a tilting handle, which helps with clearance but doesn't do as much for leverage. You can find all of these tools at your local auto parts store.

Washing your Vehicle If you live in an area near the seashore, where a lot of salt is used on the roads in the winter, or where there is industrial air pollution, it's imperative that you wash your vehicle as often as once a week. do-it-yourself car washes and use its facilities. The steamy hoses keep both you and your car warm enough to wash away the mud and salt in the winter and can do an even better job than you could do at home, especially if your water pressure is low. Most people think that there's nothing special to know about washing a car, but this isn't the case. Doing the job efficiently saves you time and effort and the car comes out looking great. If you work in a haphazard way, the task takes much longer, and you run the risk of scratching the finish, streaking the surface, and leaving the body vulnerable to rust. If your vehicle was built after the mid-1980s, it probably has a clear

.Chapter 23: Keeping Your Car Clean and Beautiful f»71 If you've never washed the vehicle with a hose before, spray lightly around the edges of the windows and the rear deck lid for a short time and then check to see if the weather-stripping leaks. If it does, consult the instructions in Chapter 24 for patching or replacing weather-stripping, and try to avoid spraying these areas until you remedy the problem. Conserve water. Don't let the hose run while you work. Use it only to wet and rinse the car, and shut it off when you don't need it. Car Wash Association studies have found that people often use as much as 140 gallons for a single car wash, which isn't surprising when you consider that a &inch hose can deliver 14 gallons of water per minute. Use just enough water pressure to wet the exterior efficiently. Blasts at extremely high pressure may loosen and chip paint and parts. Use a sponge, soft rag (old terrycloth towels or T-shirts are wonderful), or cotton wash mitt. To avoid cobwebby scratches, follow the contours of the surface rather than going in circles. Rinse the rag often to get rid of grease and dust particles. Be thorough but gentle. Vigorous scrubbing can scratch and remove the paint. Before you wash the car body, hose it down to get rid of the surface dust, and then clean and polish such exterior surfaces as vinyl hardtops, convertible tops, glass windows and sunroofs, chrome bumpers and trim, side mirrors, wheel covers, whitewalls, and tires. Then, when you wash and rinse the car itself, you'll be sure to get off the last residue of all the substances you used for those jobs. Later sections of this chapter explain how to clean and restore some of those special surfaces. Use gentle cleansers unless you intend to rewax your car. Your car's sensitive skin requires gentle cleansers just as your own body does. Don't use laundry or dish soap or detergent; use a commercial car-washing product instead. Soap and detergent remove the wax and other protective finishes from the surface. Use biodegradable washing and cleaning products to minimize environmental pollution. Unlike the wastewater that is decontaminated and/or recycled by commercial car washes, the dirty, soapy water that you use travels down the sewers and into the waterways and oceans. If your car is really filthy and oily, it may be better to take it to a car wash. Always wash a car body from the top down so that soap scum and sludge don't muck up freshly washed areas. Remember to get to all the corners where dirt can collect and rust can form: behind the wheels, inside the fenders, and behind the bumpers.
